About Shango

Shango Technologies is a Johannesburg-based ICT company delivering integrated technology solutions across connectivity, cloud, cybersecurity, network infrastructure, VoIP, system development, and managed IT services. Led by Joel Makhado with over 27 years of ICT leadership, we serve enterprises, ISPs, governments, and communities across South Africa and the wider continent.

Our head office is in Fourways, Johannesburg, with our infrastructure footprint at Teraco Isando, South Africa’s leading carrier-neutral data centre. We serve businesses of all sizes, from SMEs to enterprises and public sector organizations, and we’re structured for multi-country deployment across African markets.

Connectivity & Networks

Business-grade fiber and dedicated internet, wireless connectivity (Air Fiber / PtMP) for sites where fiber is unavailable, and LTE / 5G as primary or backup links. All delivered from carrier-grade infrastructure with redundancy and uptime SLAs.

Yes. We design and implement multi-link failover solutions, typically primary fiber with LTE / 5G backup, so your business stays connected even when your primary link goes down. For mission-critical sites we configure automatic failover with seamless cutover.

Yes. Our delivery model is built for multi-country reach, combining centralized systems, carrier-grade hosting, and local partnerships across the continent to deliver consistent service wherever your business operates.

Cloud & Cybersecurity

Our primary infrastructure is hosted at Teraco Isando, South Africa’s leading carrier-neutral data centre, providing the redundancy, power resilience, and connectivity options that enterprise workloads require.

Yes. We deploy, migrate and manage Microsoft 365 environments, including identity, mailboxes, SharePoint, Teams, and security baselines. We also handle backup, retention policies, and DMARC alignment for organizations migrating from legacy systems.

Endpoint protection, email security with DMARC enforcement, ongoing compliance monitoring, network-layer security through enterprise design and VPN, and centralized incident logging through our ticketing system. We use leading platforms including ESET and PowerDMARC.

Support & SLAs

Every client is supported through a centralized ticketing system that logs, tracks, escalates and resolves every incident, with structured SLAs that match the criticality of each service. You get one accountable team rather than fragmented vendor calls.

Tickets are logged via email, phone, or our portal. Each is automatically assigned, tracked through resolution, and escalated according to its priority. You always have a clear view of status, history, and ownership, no “who’s handling this?” back-and-forth.

Our managed IT services include round-the-clock monitoring and incident response for production-critical infrastructure. Standard business-hours support is also available, depending on the service tier and SLA agreed at engagement.

SLAs are tailored to the service. Connectivity comes with availability and response-time commitments; managed IT and cloud have ticket response, escalation, and resolution targets; cybersecurity includes monitoring and incident response timing. All SLAs are agreed upfront and tracked in writing.

Engagement & Pricing

Pricing is tailored to the scope of your engagement. We offer monthly subscriptions for managed services and connectivity, project-based pricing for system development and infrastructure rollouts, and hybrid models for ongoing support contracts. Get in touch for a custom quote.

Both. We have standard packages for common needs (business internet, M365, endpoint security, etc.), but every solution is shaped around your actual environment and goals, particularly for enterprise networks, system development, and multi-site deployments.
