Elgin Community College was established in 1995 in the rural Elgin region of the Western Cape. Its origins were rooted in creating opportunities for farm-worker families and migrant workers seeking employment.
Over time, ECC developed into an established training and development institution delivering accredited learning, skills development and capacity-building interventions. Its heritage remains community-focused, but its capabilities now extend across multiple sectors and geographic areas.

To transform lives through accredited, value-driven training that opens real pathways to employment, entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods across South Africa.
To deliver practical, quality skills development that builds real capability and connects learners with workplace and enterprise opportunity.
Practical learning, learner success, quality and credibility, and lasting community impact guide everything we do.
ECC believes that successful training should result in more than certification. Our learner-exit approach seeks to connect acquired skills with real, practical outcomes.
ECC's quality framework is built around qualified people, sound processes and accreditation compliance, so that training leads to credible, recognised outcomes.
Elgin Community College forms part of Ndlovu Investment Group (NIG). Within the NIG ecosystem, ECC provides specialised training and skills-development capabilities.
NIG provides broader strategic coordination, governance support, networking, stakeholder engagement and programme-management capability where applicable.
